New Katty McMurray's

Gallerina has received some new original work from Katty McMurray.

mullion cove • drawing • 50cm x 50cm

outside the harbour • oil • 45cm x 45cm
Katty was born in London in 1970. After graduating from the Chelsea School of Art in 1991 she moved to Brighton and over the last 17 years she has exhibited widely throughout the UK, with many sell out exhibitions, her paintings have acquired a huge following, and have become highly collectable.
aldeburgh lobster pots • drawing • 50cm x 50cm

tea & blue pot • oil • 64cm x 64cm
Always a passionate traveller she has drawn inspiration from her travels – places such as China, Morocco, Italy and many parts of England and Scotland have been her subjects.
She is at present working from a recent trip to Norfolk and Suffolk, alongside a visit last summer to the south of Italy.
the harbour edge • drawing • 28cm x 28cm

nanna's kitchen • oil • 80cm x 80cm
Her work stems from her love of drawing. While away on location, she spends her time sketching; quickly and often using a single line, she records her immediate impressions of a place. On returning to her studio, these drawings are used as a base for her larger paintings in oil on canvas, keeping the strong lines and using colours to recreate the atmosphere of the particular place.
from the pier, clovelly • oil • 75cm x 50cm

lyme region • oil • 60cm x 90cm
These are all now hanging in the gallery so come in to see them for yourself, or contact us for any further information.
